We are looking for a Software Engineer, Integrations to join this exciting team as we continue to grow and deliver quality and innovative products to our customers!

We primarily use PHP, Typescript/React, C#.NET and Java - with these we deliver our web SaaS, our mobile app, related desktop applications, and an ecosystem of microservices. This role will primarily focus on furthering development of our accounting integrations on our SaaS, and so will rely heavily on PHP expertise, and to a lesser degree Typescript/React for small UI enhancements.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborating on requirements specification in the form of user stories
  • Designing, implementing and testing technical solutions that meet the requirements
  • Developing well-structured, maintainable code for web, mobile, and APIs
  • Pairing with other developers on feature development, code reviews and bug fixing
  • Collaborating with the team on evaluation and implementation of frameworks and tools to help with development and quality
  • Working with the team to continuously improve process and behaviours through regular reflection and adaptation

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 3 years in software development, showing continuous growth
  • Strong knowledge of developing:
    • large, integrated systems with many external dependencies
    • web services and APIs (REST &/or GraphQL)
    • web and mobile applications, end-to-end
  • Intermediate experience using PHP
    • in particular, we use Symfony in-house
  • Intermediate experience using a type-safe language
  • Working knowledge of software design patterns
  • Working knowledge of Typescript/React
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Git, Docker

Bonus If You Have...

  • Working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and their related SDKs and CLIs
  • Scripting experience (one or more of Python/Boto3, Bash)
  • Experience in troubleshooting bugs and solving customer problems
